Description
This class is designed fire service, law enforcement, military personnel and insurance company investigators. The class objective is to teach the investigator the fundamentals of fire scene documentation, to aid in determining the origin and cause of fires and explosions and the proper methods of collecting, preserving, and storing evidence. The students will review the methods for documenting the scene and collecting evidence based on NFPA 921 & NFPA 1033. The information provided will give the student a basic understanding of documentation tools, basic scene photography, measurements, outside resources, and technology, as well as evidence packaging and cataloging.
